Monday, July 26     

Depart Minneapolis/St. Paul

Depart from the Humphrey Terminal on Icelandair at 7:20 pm.

 

Tuesday, July 27    

Arrive Oslo - (B, D)

Change planes in Reykjavik, Iceland, continue to Oslo arriving at 12:20 pm. You are met by your local Oslo guide – proceed to your private motor coach. An orientation city tour will introduce you to Oslo. See the city center and City Hall, site of the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, the Royal Palace, Karl Johansgate and enjoy a  walk in Vigeland sculpture park. Tour ends at your hotel. Check in, relax, and meet your tour members for a Welcome Dinner at your hotel.

Overnight at Hotel Bristol.

 

Wednesday, July 28

Oslo - (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. You have a full day for independent sightseeing,

shopping and more today.

Lunch and dinner on your own.

Overnight in Oslo at Hotel Bristol.

 

Thursday, July 29

Oslo - Gudbrandsdalen - (B, L, D)

Breakfast at your hotel. Depart by private motor coach to Hadeland Glassworks for a guided tour. There is time on your own for shopping, followed by a special lunch. Continue to Lillehammer for a stop at the ski jump from the 1994 Winter Olympics. Ride the ski lift to the top of the mountain for a breathtaking view of the city and Gudbrandsdal valley below. Ride the lift down again, board the coach and continue through town, and a bit further north in Gudbrandsdal valley to your hotel, Nermo Hotell.

Nermo Hotell is a small hotel with its history dating back to 1643 when the Nermo family bought the farm. Today the hotel is run by 5th generation of the Nermo family, and is a modern hotel in Hafjell. The hotel is situated on the eastern side of Hafjell and offers a tremendous view over Gudbrandsdalen and Gudbrandsdalslågen. The beauty of Nermo Hotell is a warm and kind reception, friendly staff, first class food and relaxed atmosphere.

 

Friday, July 30 Gudbrandsdalen - (B, L, D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today will include a

farm visit in Ringebu, a tour and lunch

at the historic Dale Gudbrandsgård and a walk on Pilgrim trail. Dinner and overnight at Nermo Hotell.

 

Saturday, July 31 Gudbrandsdalen - Fortun/Luster - (B, D)

Breakfast at the hotel, then depart by  motor coach. In Lom, visit the stave church and enjoy lunch on your own. Continue driving over Sognefjellet. Olsaksfest should begin today, and depending on the schedule, participate in this wonderful

festival. Dinner and overnight in Luster area at Turtegro Hotel.

 

Sunday, August 1

Luster - Skei - (B, D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Depending on the schedule, attend Olsaksfest. Continue to Skei for overnight. Time for shopping subject to opening hours. Dinner and overnight at Skei Hotel.

 

Monday, August 2

Skei - Balestrand via Forde - (B, D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Tour Austruptunet,

visit the town of Førde and  continue to

Balestrand arriving  early afternoon.

Enjoy a cultural walking tour of the village this afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Kvikne’s Hotel.

 

Tuesday, August 3

Balestrand - Bergen - (B)

Breakfast at the hotel, morning at leisure in the beautiful Kvikne Hotel. Your luggage will be picked up and taken to Bergen. The group will travel by express boat to Flåm, departing at 11:55 a.m.. On arrival in Flåm, board the famous railway and ascend the mountain to Myrdal, where you change to the main train line continuing to Bergen. Arrival transfer and check in at the hotel. Dinner is on your own this evening. Overnight at Hotel Augustin.

 

Wednesday, August 4

Bergen - (B, D)

After breakfast, you will be met by your local guide for a walking tour of the city center including the historic Bryggen area and more. The afternoon is yours for independent sightseeing and shopping. Farewell dinner and overnight at Hotel Augustin.

 

Thursday, August 5           

Depart Bergen - (B)

Breakfast at the hotel, then depart for Troldhaugen for a tour of Edvard Grieg’s home and museum enroute to the airport. Check in for departure on Icelandair at 1:10 pm, arriving Minneapolis/St. Paul Humphrey Terminal at 5:55 pm.
